Description

The Southwest Climate Assessment (SCA) will provide the DOI Southwest Climate Science Center (SWCSC) is offering a funding opportunity to achieve an early success and identify key climate research objectives for the southwestern U.S. The assessment process will be an opportunity for determining management-based scientific priorities from among the Landscape Conservation Cooperatives (LCCs) now active in the Southwest. The Southwest Climate Alliance (SWCA) proposes to support the SCA report development process. Principal leadership and coordination for this and other regional assessments that contribute to the National Climate Assessment will be provided by others, including NOAA through its Regional Integrated Sciences and Assessments (RISA) program.
