Description

Excise taxes on fishing equipment, motorboat and small engine fuels, import duties, and interest are collected and appropriated from the Sport Fish Restoration and Boating Trust Fund. The funds are made available to states and insular areas through financial assistance grants. The amount of funding available is based on an apportionment formula.
