The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Administration for Children and Families (ACF), Office of Family Assistance (OFA) is announcing the solicitation of applications to competitively award cooperative agreements for demonstration projects that support "healthy marriage promotion activities" as enacted by The Claims Resolution Act of 2010 (Pub. L. 111-291).Cooperative agreements awarded under this Funding Opportunity Announcement will support programs that have the capacity and proven track record of providing a broad range of marriage and relationship education (MRE) and skills training to low-income populations.To address the multiple barriers faced by individuals, couples/partners, and families, projects will provide MRE skills designed to change behaviors of individuals and move families towards economic self-sufficiency. ACF is particularly interested in funding organizations that are located in the community of the targeted population, and that provide a broad array of services.
