Description

This is a Notice of Intent to award. The Desert National Wildlife Refuge Complex is providing funding for one research associate that will be providing water quality and quantity data collection and habitat restoration services on Ash Meadows National Wildlife Refuges in southern, Nevada through a conservation initiative under the Southern Nevada Public Lands Management Act of 1998. The research associate program provides professional experience for individuals who wish to enrich and apply their field-based conservation experience in an array of settings that encourage application and development of project management and administrative skills. The Institute is the only organization capable of satisfying the requirements of these unique habitat restoration projects. Great Basin Institute has extensive knowledge of and experience in habitat restoration in the Mojave Desert.
