Synopsis of Project: The objective of this solicitation is to obtain proposals form organizations seeking financial assistance to: assist-develop a plan and calculate sustainability metrics using publicly-available data on the San Luis Basin (SLB) region, -compile the results into a report, -publish the results of the sustainability metrics analysis for the stakeholder community, --- train stakeholders to adaptively manage resources in the region; and,- determine if the regional system is moving toward or away from sustainability. This project will benefit local, regional, and state government officials, community leaders, land managers, and other interested environmental stakeholders. The SLB in Colorado will be defined as the following seven counties: Alamosa, Conejos, Costilla, Hinsdale, Mineral, Rio Grande, and Saguache.Application Materials:You may submit either a printed application or an electronic application (but not both) for this announcement. To apply under this solicitation, use the application package available at Grants.gov (for further submission information see Section IV.A, �Mode of Proposal Submission.�). If your organization is not currently registered with Grants.gov, you need to allow approximately one week to complete the registration process. This registration, and electronic submission of your application, must be performed by an authorized representative of your organization. For hard copy submissions, grant forms can be obtained from the EPA Office of Grants and Debarment website at: http://www.epa.gov/ogd/AppKit/application.htm.
