Description

Funding is available through the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) California Landscape Conservation Cooperative (CA LCC) to complete work as identified in the CA LCC 2011 program priorities. Specifically, the University of California, Berkeley, will use species distribution modeling, population genetics, and geospatial analysis of historical vs. modern vertebrate populations to identify climate change refugia nad population connectivity across the Sierra Nevada. The USFWS intends to award University of California, Berkeley a single source agreement because of the unique qualifications of the staff with the technical expertise to conduct this analysis. The anticipated project start date will be August 2011 with an expected completion date of Decemeber 2013.
