Bureau of Reclamation - Pacific Northwest Region

Description

This Funding Announcement is not a request for applications. This announcement is to provide public notice of the Bureau of Reclamations intent to enter into a Cooperative Agreement with Union Soil & Water Conservation District (USWCD) whereby USWCD will provide project management, coordination and planning activities associated with the development of three habitat improvement projects in the Grande Ronde Subbasin. Through USWCDs assistance, Reclamation hopes to restore passage and add habitat complexity to tributaries in the Subbasin which will benefit anadromous fisheries. Anticipated benefits of the improvements include, but are not limited to, improved access to spawning and rearing habitat; reduced entrainment; increased streamflow, improved fish passage; and improved habitat quantity and quality for native endangered fish species including spring chinook salmon, steelhead trout, and bull trout.
