Description

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) announces this grant opportunity based on authorities provided for in the Safe, Accountable, Flexible, Efficient Transportation Equity Act: A Legacy of Users (Public Law 109-59). Sections 4101 and 4107 of SAFETEA-LU authorize the Motor Carrier Safety Grants funding. The Motor Carrier Safety Assistance Program (MCSAP) New Entrant Safety Audit grants are governed by Title 49 of the United States Code (USC) Section 31104 and 31144 and Title 49 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Part 350. The Agency will inform applicants if new authorizing legislation changes its grant programs for federal fiscal year 2012.
