Bureau of Land Management

Description

This funding opportunity is issued under a Cooperative Ecosystem Study Unit (CESU) program. The successful recipient must be a participant in the CESU program. The data analyses and scientific collaboration constitute technical assistance, and because the BLM is a Federal land management agency, this funding opportunity furthers the CESU objective to provide research, technical assistance, and education to Federal land management, environmental, and research agencies. This project is to provide broad-scale information needed in developing habitat conservation strategies for native plants, wildlife, and fish and aquatic species populations on public lands; and to inform subsequent land use planning, trade-off evaluation, environmental analysis, and decision-making for other interconnected public land uses and values, including development, recreation, and conservation. Rapid Ecoregional Assessments (REA) are to assemble, organize and synthesize targeted information.
