Clinical Functional Assessment Investigator-Initiated Award
ArchivedDefense Health Agency Contracting Activity - DHACA
Description
Applications for the Clinical Functional Assessment program announcement are being solicited by the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs, Defense Health Program (DHP). The Joint Program Committee-1b (JPC-1b) funding line provides resources for advances in health information technology (HIT) research, administered by the Advanced Information Technology Group (AITG) of the Telemedicine and Advanced Technology Research Center (TATRC), located at Fort Detrick, Maryland. TATRC facilitates interdisciplinary research partnerships led by industry (that may also include academia and government) that advance the development of emerging technologies and improve health care for beneficiaries within the Department of Defense. TATRC is administering the application process for this Program Announcement (PA)/Funding Opportunity, and the U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) is issuing this PA and will be negotiating all resulting awards. This PA invites proposals from U.S. based businesses, teaching research academic institutions, and multi-center collaborations, to include international partners, that develop products and systems and generate new knowledge that supports medical protection and treatment for DoD personnel and beneficiaries. Military relevance will be a primary criterion for evaluation in all areas. Preliminary research proposals (pre-proposals) are required and will provide the basis for invited full proposals.
