Through this Addendum to the FY 2011 Global Development Alliance (GDA) Annual Program Statement (APS) No. M/OAA/GRO/EGAS-11-002011 (the GDA APS), USAID/Bureau for Food Security (BFS), Research Division is making a special call for the submission of concept papers related to the Feed the Future (FTF) Initiative’s Global Hunger and Food Security Research Strategy. The specific objective(s) are to: 1) Develop new climate resilient cereal varieties with enhanced abiotic stress tolerance and improved yield. 2) Establish partnerships that leverage resources, including technical assistance or sharing costs for technology development projects that provide new cereal varieties to improve agricultural productivity for small holder farmers in USAID FTF focal countries www.feedthefuture.gov/countries.html. 3) Support product development of technologies that can be applied globally in support of Feed the Future Initiative objectives. Unless otherwise specifically stated herein, all terms and conditions of the GDA APS apply. As stated in APS No: M/OAA/GRO/EGAS–11-002011, USAID expects to receive alliance proposals that leverage resources at a minimum of 1:1. Proposals that do not leverage resources of at least a matching amount to what is requested will not be considered under this announcement.
