A reproductive success study has been in place for numerous years on Abernathy Creek in order to determine the relative reproductive success of hatchery versus wild steelhead. during the most recent ISRP review it was recommended that information to determine the number of steelhead spawing in Abernathy Creek downstream from the Abernathy FTC facility was required. Of all the potential options it was determined that a weir crossing the creek at the mouth would be the most effective means of measurement. The FWS will provide $39,171 for the work identified in the scope of work on order to obtain sampling of Abernathy Creek steelhead.
