Training and Technical Assistance to Tribally-Owned and Operated Public Water Systems to Provide Safe Drinking Water

Description
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is soliciting applications from eligibleapplicants to provide training and technical assistance to tribally-owned and operated publicwater systems to help such systems achieve and maintain compliance with the Safe DrinkingWater Act (SDWA). The training and technical assistance provided under this announcement islimited to tribally-owned and operated public water systems where EPA Regions 6, 8 and 9 haveprimacy responsibilities under the SDWA. For a description of the systems that the successfulapplicant will serve please see Section I.A. These goals support the following objectives ofEPA’s Strategic Plan for Fiscal Year (FY) 2011 – 2015: Goal 2: Protecting America’s Waters,Objective 2.1: Protect Human Health.
