I. The purpose of this amendment is to add language to the Algae FOA in Section VI.B.4, “Statement of Substantial Involvement” as follows: 4. Statement of Substantial Involvement The DOE Specialist and DOE Project Officer will negotiate a Statement of Substantial Involvement prior to award. Anticipated areas of involvement may include but are not limited to review and approval of site access plan. DOE has the right to intervene in the conduct or performance of project activities for programmatic reasons. Intervention includes the interruption or modification of the conduct or performance of project activities. II. All other parts of the FOA remain unchanged. This research will support the Biomass Program?s goals to model pathways for significant (>1 billion gallons per year) volumes of cost-competitive algal biofuels by 2022.
