Description

The purpose of this amendment is to extend the Full Application deadline to June 25, 2012 at 5:00pm Eastern Time. The page numbers and Table of Contents page numbers have been updated. All other parts of the FOA remain unchanged. The focus of this Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) is to develop specifically-identified technologies for buildings that are cost effective and can have a tremendous impact on energy savings overall and lead to a market-ready solution (e.g. at the commercial prototype phase) within five years of project launch. More specifically, the FOA is intended to support prototyping and optimization of proposed technologies for which proof-of-concept scientific demonstration already exists. Projects will be expected to focus on the research, development, demonstration and commercialization paths of the proposed technology while addressing any shortcomings or barriers to market entry. Projects must credibly demonstrate how the proposed technologies will meet the targets specified in the sub-topic descriptions. Projects under this FOA must be aimed at more than progress toward identified project goals; the project must be aimed at actual delivery of these project goals.
