DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURENatural Resources Conservation ServiceConservation Innovation GrantsFiscal Year 2012 Announcement of Program Funding (APF)Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA) Number: 10.912EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) in Vermont(VT), an agency under the United States Department of Agriculture, is announcing availability of Conservation Innovation Grants (CIG) to stimulate the development and adoption of innovative conservation approaches and technologies. NRCS anticipates that the amount available for support of the Vermont State CIG competition in Fiscal Year (FY) 2012 will be approximately $175,000. Funds will be awarded through a statewide competitive grants process. Only projects to be implemented within the state of Vermont will be considered.There are three categories of natural resources concerns or technology needs in the State CIG forFY 2012. Applications are requested from eligible governmental or non-governmental organizations, individuals or legal entities for competitive consideration of grant awards for projects between 1 and 3 years in duration.
