Description

The purpose of the program is to support activities to increase the operational capacity of Immunization Information Systems (IIS). This program addresses the “Healthy People 2020” topic area of Immunization and Infectious Diseases, specifically Objective IID-18, “Increase the proportion of children under 6 years of age whose immunization records are in fully operational, population-based immunization information systems.” The purpose of this 4-part program is to support activities to increase the operational capacity of Immunization Information Systems (IIS) by: a) developing and implementing data quality and assessment approaches b) promoting education and training, c) developing operational guidelines, and d) providing peer support and specialized assistance.
