Description

This program will provide funding to support a national membership and accreditation organization for children’s advocacy center programs. Children’s advocacy centers provide a coordinated response to victims of child abuse through multidisciplinary teams composed of representatives from community agencies and professionals involved with intervention, prevention, prosecution, and investigation systems that respond to child abuse cases. The funding will enable the successful applicant to provide services to a national membership body and to implement standards for program accreditation. This program is authorized under the Victims of Child Abuse Act, 42 U.S.C. §§113001, 13002.

• Native American tribal organizations (other than Federally recognized)
• Nonprofits with 501(c)(3) status (other than higher education)
• Private institutions of higher education
• For-profit organizations other than small businesses
