Description

Humanitarian emergencies are known for their high rates of morbidity and mortality from infectious and non-communicable conditions and the increased risk of death among vulnerable populations, such as young children, pregnant women and the elderly. The purpose of the program is to determine: 1) the etiologies; 2) the best practice interventions for prevention; or, 3) the most effective methods to measure these high rates of morbidity and mortality occurring in humanitarian emergencies and protracted conflict settings.
