The purpose of this amendment is to incorporate changes to the Funding Opportunity Announcement, DE-FOA-0000675. Accordingly, this modification (1) Changed the due date for Replies to Reviewer Comments to June 25, 2012, and (2) Removed Section VI.B.11: Section VI.B.11 was intended to implement ?316 of the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2012. That section requires the recipients of Department of Energy grants in excess of $1,000,000 to upgrade any lighting in their facilities that does not meet the incandescent efficiency standards set forth in 42 U.S.C. ?6295. ARPA-E removed this section because ?316 applies exclusively to grants. It does not apply to any other form of financial assistance. In the unlikely event that ARPA-E awards a grant (which have not been issued to date, and are not expected to be issued in the future), the requirement in ?316 of the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2012 would apply.
