Description
The US Geological Survey, Ecological National Synthesis Project (ENS) of the National Water-Quality Assessment (NAWQA) Program, is offering a funding opportunity seeks to a CESU partner for research in the development of data describing chemical and physical attributes of bedrock geology and the incorporation of this data into empirical models that predict water chemistry in rivers and streams throughout the contiguous United States. The models should be capable of predicting electrical conductivity, acid neutralization capacity, and calcium, magnesium, and total phosphorus concentrations that would be expected under minimal anthropogenic influences.
