THERE IS NO FULL ANNOUNCEMENT ASSOCIATED WITH THIS NOTICE. This is a Notice of Intent to Award a Grant Agreement between the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and states within Region 5 of the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service who have been awarded aquatic nuisance species management funds because of their approved state aquatic nuisance species management plans. This includes, Connecticut, Vermont, Maine, Massachusetts, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Virginia. These grants are for the purpose of implementing their State or interstate Aquatic Nuisance Species Management Plans. This Single Source Award is being made in accordance with Department of the Interior Policy 505 DM 2, 2.14 B(4), which allows for awards to an applicant who is uniquely qualified to perform the activity based on technical expertise. This activity is being carried out in accordance with, and for the purpose of implementing state or interstate Aquatic Nuisance Species Management Plans. These management plans have already been approved by the states’ Governors as well as the Aquatic Nuisance Species Task Force and as such, under authority of the Nonindigenous Aquatic Nuisance Prevention and Control act of 1990 are specifically and solely eligible for this federal funding.
