Description

The U.S. Agency for International Development’s Microenterprise & Private Enterprise Promotion office (USAID/MPEP) is pleased to announce the Women’s Leadership in Small and Medium Enterprises (WLSME) pilot research program. USAID/MPEP requests applications to this WLSME Program that propose innovative, scalable ideas to: (1) Directly increase the entry and growth of women-owned and/or women-managed small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the developing world; and (2) through participation in rigorous impact evaluation separately funded by USAID, generate learning for the field regarding what works and why. For the purposes of this program, SMEs are defined as enterprises with 5-250 employees, regardless of registration status.
