Description

The Office of Innovation Development Alliances, Local Sustainability Division (IDEA/LS) and its predecessors have funded Private Voluntary Organizations (PVOs), Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), Cooperative Development Organizations and cooperatives for four decades. This support has contributed to promoting and strengthening the policies, systems, techniques and skills that enable these organizations to serve their constituents and, by so doing, to contribute to development priorities. As these priorities have evolved over the years, and as the capacities of partner institutions have developed, there has been an evolution in the partnership and the focus of IDEA/LS support. This is reflected in the periodic policies and programs that guide allocation of resources. The Office of Innovation and Development Alliances’ strategic direction, and USAID priorities are the operative documents for this solicitation.
