Description

The U.S. Agency for International Development is requesting applications from qualified organizations to implement the Secure, Empowered, Connected Communities (SECC) Program. At the end of the agreement, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID)/East Africa expects the implementer to have achieved the following results: - Reported increase in the sense of security among citizens of target communities - Reported increase in sense of self-esteem, belonging, and inclusion among community members in target communities - Increased number and percentage of women with substantive participation in community decision-making roles - Target communities exchange information about their visions, plans, actions, and projects to increase security - Decreased sense of isolation among members of target communities - Increased number of communities who are able to broadcast and/or send and receive information - Demonstrated coordination with relevant organizations working in the areas as the SECC Program.
