Description

The US Geological Survey Alaska Science Center is offering a funding opportunity to a CESU partner for research to develop exactly dated chronologies from the otoliths of lake trout (Salvelinus namaycush), a long-lived and non-migratory fish species, as indicators of lake productivity and compare these chronologies with existing dedrochronologies. Freshwater ecosystems are affected by environmental change and pronounced effects of climate change are being observed in many inland lakes.
