In 2012, the U.S. Department of Labor (USDOL), Bureau of International Labor Affairs (ILAB) will award up to $10 million for one or more cooperative agreement(s) to support efforts to reduce child labor in Cambodia with a focus on reducing social exclusion and promoting economic opportunities for the Cambodian households most vulnerable to the worst forms of child labor. Projects funded under this solicitation will also seek to combat child labor by (1) increasing children’s access to quality education and vocational/skills training, (2) promoting sustainable livelihoods for their households, (3) increasing beneficiaries’ access to national social protection programs that help households overcome dependence on child labor to meet basic needs, and (4) increasing youth’s access to decent work.
