Description
This program supports the improvement of juvenile indigent defense across the nation. It will provide a broad range of activities and services to improve the overall level of systemic advocacy, improve the quality of juvenile indigent defense representation, and ensure professional and ongoing technical support to the juvenile indigent defense bar. We anticipate that this program will be authorized by Sections 221–223 of the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act (JJDP Act) of 1974, 42 U.S.C. §§ 5631─5633.

- Public and State controlled institutions of higher education
- Public housing authorities / Indian housing authorities
- Nonprofits with 501(c)(3) status (other than higher education)
- For-profit organizations other than small businesses
- Small businesses
