This Funding Announcement is not a request for applications. This announcement is to provide public notice of the Bureau of Land Management's intention to fund the following project activities without full and open competition. The BLM and City of Ely agree that illegal dumping on public lands needs to be controlled . By assisting the City of Ely financially to defray the costs associated with recycling or removing large items such as refrigerators, white goods, car bodies, tires, batteries and bulk metals it will allow the City to accept these items for disposal without charging the public a fee; thereby encouraging the public to use their local landfill rather than dumping large items on public lands.
