Description

Norfolk Southern Corporation will complete extensive testing, modeling and initial integration of a string of Li-NMC battery cells packaged by Corvus Energy. Testing will include both switching cycles and line-of-road test protocols featuring various hybrid (diesel ? ESS) configurations and utilization strategies. Norfolk Southern will test a 104 kWh string of sixteen (16) Corvus Energy AT6500 48V Li-NMC modules, wired in series, to produce the 800 V DC buss voltage needed for locomotive traction systems.
