In Fiscal Year 2013, the U.S. Department of Labor’s (USDOL), Bureau of International Labor Affairs (ILAB) will award up to $2 million for one or more cooperative agreements to fund a technical assistance project(s) to support efforts to reduce the worst forms of child labor in the home-based production of carpets in Afghanistan by designing and piloting a sustainable social compliance system in collaboration with at least one carpet company. Eligible Applicants may include any commercial, international, educational, or non-profit organization(s), including any faith-based, community-based, or public international organization(s).
