Description
The National Wetlands Research Center (NWRC) of the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) is offering a funding opportunity for research that adapts remote sensing methods and procedures established in north-central Gulf of Mexico (GOM) coastal wetlands to mapping and monitoring coastal wetland resources of the Atlantic seaboard, particularly but not limited to Hurricane Sandy direct and long-term impacts, and advance remote sensing methods to detect wetland deterioration. Although this research will focus on the Atlantic seaboard, the expected technology advances will have direct implications to global remote sensing of coastal resources.
