Well Completion Techniques in California

Archived

Bureau of Land Management

Description

This synthesis will include current scientific and technical information on the underlying geology and oil and gas potential of California; the process of well completion techniques, including HF, in California; and the environmental risks of well completion techniques, including HF, in California. With hydraulic fracturing and well completion arising as an emerging issue, there is a need for reputable, baseline information to inform BLMs future decisions on oil and gas. The public would also greatly benefit from an increased understanding of hydraulic fracturing and well completion based on science.
