Description

United State Department of the Interior, National Park Service (NPS) Notice of Intent to Award. This is not a request for applications. This funding opportunity is to provide public notice of NPS's intention to fund the following project activities without full and open competition to the Pinnacles Partnership (PIPA), to collaboratively work with the NPS to continue the long term partnership that promotes natural and cultural resource stewardship, scientific research, monitoring and education related to Pinnacles National Park (PINN). PIPA possesses unique qualifications for the projects intended under this cooperative agreement based on PIPA's sole mission is to serve and support Pinnacles National Park resource stewardship, research and educational goals. PIPA has a 6 year history of coordinated projects with PINN and current staff / board of directors have developed extensive knowledge of NPS resources and programs that positions PIPA to efficiently and effectively undertake education outreach, research and resource management actions envisioned under this agreement. PIPA additionally has a demonstrated bringing in significant matching funds for cooperative projects though foundation grants and membership derived revenue.
