Description

The United States Government, represented by the Agency for International Development (USAID), Global Health Bureau (GH), Office of Health, Infectious Diseases and Nutrition (HIDN), is seeking comments on a draft program description for a planned new activity, Pandemic Influenza and Other Emerging Threats Program – Prepare and Respond. USAID plans to issue a Request for Applications (RFA) within the next few months. The program description presents the current draft objectives and key elements of the activity. The level of funding allocated for this project will not exceed $45 million over a five-year implementation period. Issuance of this RFI and posting the draft Program description for comments does not constitute a request for applications, which will come later through a separate process. The RFI does not represent any award commitment on the part of the Government, nor does it obligate the Government to pay for costs incurred in the preparation and submission of any comments or questions.
