Proposals for potential FY15 Exploratory Development/Applied Research (Budget Activity 6.2) projects are sought under the following focus areas. Highly innovative ideas in other general communications and networking areas that are not within the designated focus areas below, but nonetheless are important to the Navy/Marine Corps, as determined under the synopsis section above may also be considered:1. Interference cancellation and tunable high-Q band-pass/band-reject filtering technologies, as well as electronic protection techniques, for bent pipe SATCOM. 2. Algorithms for multi-commodity flow optimization, with multiple priorities, and inclusive of channelized frequency allocation/management (e.g., HF-IP) for robust, automated, and dynamic traffic engineering and routing. 3. Flow control smoothing and latency/jitter reduction for networked disruption-prone directional links (e.g., airborne CDL) using predictive algorithms.4.
