Description

Amendment 2 to the NASA ARMD Research Opportunities in Aeronautics (ROA) 2014 NRA has been posted on the NSPIRES site. This release includes the following 6 topics in Appendix A.2 for foundational research in support of the Fixed Wing Project: (1) Hybrid Gas-Electric Propulsion System Conceptual Design; (2) Hybrid Gas Electric Propulsion: High Power Density MW-Class Non-Cryogenic Motor; (3) Advanced Gas-Turbine Propulsion: Low-Emissions, Fuel-Flexible N+3 Combustor Technology; (4) Advanced Gas-Turbine Propulsion: Small Core Turbomachinery Technology; (5) Advanced Wing Technology: Passive Aeroelastic Tailored Wing Technology; and (6) Advanced Wing Technology: Performance Adaptive Aeroelastic Wing Technology. NOIs are due April 3, 2014 and proposals are due May 7, 2014.
