Description

In Fiscal Year 2014, the U.S. Department of Labor’s (USDOL) Bureau of International Labor Affairs (ILAB) will award up to $7,000,000 for one or more cooperative agreement(s) to fund a technical assistance project(s) in Honduras to address child labor and improve labor rights and working conditions in Honduras, particularly in the agricultural areas of southern Honduras and in the San Pedro Sula area. The project will target children, households, and workers that are susceptible to child labor; violations of freedom of association, collective bargaining, minimum wage, hours of work, occupational safety and health, and other labor rights; and other exploitative working conditions. Eligible Applicants may include any commercial, international, educational, or non-profit organization(s), including any faith-based, community-based, or public international organization(s), capable of successfully implementing the proposed programs.
