Description

The Department of State’s Office of Weapons Removal and Abatement (PM/WRA) is pleased to announce a competitive process for Fiscal Year 2014 funding for clearing explosive remnants of war (ERW), Mine Risk Education (MRE), and Survivors Assistance (SA) in South Sudan. The overarching purpose is to reduce threats to civilians from ERW and assist survivors injured by ERW related to Conventional Weapons Destruction (CWD) projects. U.S.-based and foreign non-governmental organizations (NGOs) are eligible to apply. Pending Fiscal Year 2014 appropriations, the Office anticipates awarding multiple grants totaling no more than $800,000 and no less than $50,000 per entity. Entities are welcome to submit proposals that include different levels of requested funding but need to clearly delineate the outputs that will be achieved based on different funding levels. All RFA responses must be submitted via www.grantsolutions.gov OR www.grants.gov by 5:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST) on Friday, May 16, 2014.
