Office of Procurement Operations - Grants Division

Description

This FOA is for continuation of an existing award. The DHS Directorate of Science and Technology (S&T) is tasked with research and organizing the scientific, engineering, and technological resources of the United States and leveraging these existing resources into technological tools to help protect the homeland. DHS S&T is committed to protecting the Homeland, its infrastructure, and citizens from threats including those presented by violent extremists. The grant will provide additional funding to the University of Utah in order to continue molecular design and nanostructure based fluorescent sensing of explosives studies. The goal of this effort is to achieve trace vapor detection of hydrogen peroxide, which still remains challenging for current sensor technologies due to poor sensitivity.
