Description

Tasks to be performed: 1. Identify at least 10 triplets of clay phacelia plants. 2. Develop 2 types of enclosures (one for large mammals and one for smaller mammals) and place around clay phacelia plants. 3. Install and analyze wildlife cameras to detect herbivores. 4. Measure clay phacelia response before, during and after exclosure including plant size and reproductive effort and amount of damage/herbivory to plants. Plants will be visitied at least twice per year for 3 years. 5. Analyze resulting correlation between herbivory and exclosure treatment. 6. Final report including results and conclusions to USFWS.
