Description
The goal of this FOA is to establish the role of the brain innate immune system, the systemic immune system, and the crosstalk and changes with age between the two in the development and progression of Alzheimers disease. An interdisciplinary and integrative research approach to identify the cell networks and meditators of the brain and systemic immune and inflammatory systems is expected to give greater insight into the etiological mechanisms underlying Alzheimers disease.
