Description

This program supports commercial motor vehicle (CMV) safety programs that: 1) Carry out high priority activities and projects that improve CMV safety; 2) Increase compliance with CMV safety regulations; 3) Increase public awareness about CMV safety; 4) Provide education on CMV safety and related issues; 5) Demonstrate new safety related technologies; and 6) Reduce the number and rate of crashes involving CMVs.

• Independent school districts
• Public and State controlled institutions of higher education
• Native American tribal governments (Federally recognized)
• Native American tribal organizations (other than Federally recognized)
• Nonprofits with 501(c)(3) status (other than higher education)
• Nonprofits without 501(c)(3) status (other than higher education)
• Private institutions of higher education
