Description
The purpose of this funding opportunity announcement (FOA) in Zambia is to implement strategies within Zambian prisons, for prisoners, prisons staff and police staff to increase HIV and TB case detection, and improve the delivery of quality comprehensive HIV and TB care offered to prisoners and prison and police staff and laboratory diagnosis and care offered to victims of sexual GBV and CSA. The purpose and objectives of each program area are listed below. The objectives are: • To reduce the number of new HIV infections among prison inmates and staff by 90% by 2020 • To increase coverage of PEP and psychosocial services for sexual GBV and CSA victims from 49% to 95 % by 2020 • To increase the number of legal cases of sexual GBV and CSA supported by forensic evidence to facilitate timely prosecution, from less than 5% to at least 95% • To reduce number of new TB infections among prison inmates and staff by 90% at 2020
