Description
The purpose of this CDC headquarter managed funding opportunity announcement (FOA) is to contribute to achieving an AIDS free generation through increased improvements in maternal and child health outcomes. This FOA establishes technical assistance opportunities at both the country and central level to support increased coverage and impact of HIV prevention, treatment and care programs, and strengthened public health systems capacity and country ownership in priority countries. Specific program objectives include: • Increased implementation of best practices for PMTCT, pediatric care and treatment, and OVC care and support across PEPFAR country programs • Increased monitoring and evaluation capacity of country specific PMTCT, pediatric care and treatment, and OVC care and support across PEPFAR country programs • Increased capacity of country Ministry of Health or other indigenous, non-governmental organizations and local communities organizations to respond to national HIV epidemics
