Description

The CDC Prevention Epicenters Program has been established to develop, implement and evaluate the effectiveness of epidemiologically-based strategies to improve healthcare quality and patient safety. This funding opportunity announcement is designed to utilize the CDC Prevention Epicenters Program to translate basic, epidemiologic and technologic discoveries into new strategies for improving prevention of Healthcare-Associated Infections (HAIs), Antimicrobial Resistance (AR) and other adverse events in all types of healthcare facilities in the United States. The prevention strategies could include, but are not limited to, prevention strategies currently undergoing single-center studies by the Prevention Epicenters Program that merit further investigation in multicenter studies.
