The purpose of this Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) is to encourage Research Project Grant (R01) applications to explore two timely issues of significance for policy development relevant to: 1) the principles and characteristics for central Institutional Review Boards (IRBs); and 2) consent and participant preferences for research using clinical records and data.
