Description

The primary purpose of the Outreach Assistance for Socially Disadvantaged Farmers and Ranchers and Veteran Farmers and Ranchers Grant Program (2501 Program) is to enhance the coordination of outreach, technical assistance, and education efforts, to reach socially disadvantaged and veteran farmers and ranchers in a linguistically appropriate manner and to improve their participation in the full range of USDA programs. This program will assist eligible community-based and non-profit organizations, higher education institutions, and tribal entities in providing outreach and technical assistance to socially disadvantaged and veteran farmers and ranchers.

Who can apply

  • Public and State controlled institutions of higher education
  • Native American tribal governments (Federally recognized)
  • Nonprofits with 501(c)(3) status (other than higher education)
  • Nonprofits without 501(c)(3) status (other than higher education)
  • Private institutions of higher education
