The USGS is offering a funding opportunity to a CESU partner for research related to the interactions between fluvial processes, sediment dynamics, and vegetation response along rivers in western USA. A specific research and management need is to understand the response of floodplain vegetation to sediment dynamics, particularly deposition, associated with dam removal on the Elwha River, Washington.
