Inventory, manage, prevent and eradicate whenever possible plants designated as noxious or invasive to know and understand the best means of control for specific species and the consequences of unchecked noxious and invasive plants. Because these plants move rapidly from one owners land to another, joint efforts to eradicate, contain or control noxious and invasive plants would reduce adverse impacts on public, private and state lands and reduce costs to both BLM and other owners. This would help protect the Public Lands from encroaching noxious and invasive weeds, insuring a healthy watershed and save money that would be required to control noxious weed population if left unchecked. Only pesticides and adjuvants approved for use on BLM within allowable rates can be used on BLM administered lands as identified in the Record of Decision Vegetation Treatments using Herbicides on BLM lands in 17 Western States Programmatic Environmental Impact Statement. Recipient would work closely with city, state and federal entities, private land owners with regard to education and awareness. Public notification of areas to be treated would be the responsibility of the recipient. Pesticide Use Reports would be submitted to the BLM within 24 hours of treatment along with computer generated maps stating location and acreage of area sprayed and GPS point, line or polygon data.
